We are back online. However, sadly I was not able to make a permanent fix to the dice issue and have it work on all users. To keep things simple as GM I'll be throwing in the dice coding on my replies. Additionally to allow the game to move as swiftly and concise as possible when making an action PLEASE state all skills and abilities that you have that you believe will ad you in the roll as well as if you are putting in Extra Effort. As GM I will then determine if these abilities and bonuses apply generate the dice outcome and narrate as usual.

Conrad Enters the Nature Center (Rolls a 2 for any potential Perception tasks while entering)

The center seem quiet. The ranger he talked to before is adjusting a display in the children's exhibit. It seems as if someone decided the stuffed groundhog would look better with glasses and a mustache

No matter "You were right." said Joseph, causing the ranger to turn with a start "We found these" he continued, holding up the collars. "Looks like the same person who abducted my client's beloved pet has been responsible for the losses to wildlife around here. I'd like to nail whoever was responsible, know anywhere we can keep a watch on the trail while remaining hidden? Also, know any reason the run-off might have special significance for the weirdo who's responsible?"

Using persuasion if he isn't immediately co-operative.

Convincing him to help would normally be an average check (DC 9, you rolled an 8 and I don't believe you have training in persuasion). The ranger will say how there were wildlife cameras in the area but they were damaged lately. Crews are schedules to come out and repair them later in the week, but civilians aren't allowed to leave anything in the marshes.

Ok figured it would be under skill, then with your training the ranger will follow up with "but I can't really stop you from being out there after hours" The then pulls out a tourist map and marks several spots with pencil. "It would be really bad if those workers found anything left out there, but they aren't scheduled till next Tuesday" (that will give you till actual Tuesday to pick the cameras back up)

Joseph will thank him and leave, keep going until he's out of sight of the nature center and then double back through the woods. He's going to stake out the nature center until closing time (trained in perception related tasks).

Once he's gone Joseph will check out the sites marked on the map to see which is the best (ideally good concealment and a view of a well lit area of the trail, if there is a lit area). Then he'll head back to town.

While scouting out the spots marked on the map (Rolled a 17 against a lvl 5 difficulty reduced to lvl 3 from training and the map's bonus making it a DC 9) you come across a person lurking around the marsh in a tattered and filthy robe. Trying to stay hidden you step on a branch (Rolled an 8 versus a lvl 5 DC15) and alert the figure who darts his head in your direction.

(rolled a 14 initiative versus DC15) The figure begins trying to dart into the woods moments before you can react.

I'm going to use fleet of foot (dc2 speed roll move a short distance and take an action in the same round) to try and catch him before he disappears and hit him with my night-stick

Conrad takes off on foot (Rolled 12 versus DC6) easily keeping pace with the figure. Taking a swing with his stick he narrowly misses (Rolled 13 versus DC15). A glint of solver is spotted in the figure hands as he continues to flee, but has to slow down to normal movement as he grips the strange silver idol.

A Magical bolt of energy hurls behind the figure at Conrad (Rolled 3 speed defense versus DC15 reduced to DC 12 for the figure firing behind himself) The bolt strikes Conrad for 5 Might damage (reduced by armor to 3 damage).

Conrad Rolls at 18 against the figure (18 adds +2 damage) dealing 6 damage Clipping the figure as he continues to flee through the marsh.

The figure returns fire with another magical bolt (rolled 11 to dodge versus DC15) hitting Conrad for another 5 Might damage. This causes Conrad to stumble (Rolled 2 versus DC12 against getting stuck in the muddy ground of the march) causing one of his shoes to get stuck in the mud. It will take an action to pull the shoe free or Conrad can continue to fire at an already wounded target who is gaining distance.

Conrad gives a good yan to attempt to free himself (Rolled 17 on DC3) and attempts to catch up with the fleeing foe (rolled 7 DC 6). The foe tries to hind in the moments given to him by Conrad's stuck foot (Rolled 17 versus DC15) but Conrad's keen eyes keep a bead on his target.

Conrad will steady himself, take careful aim (expend 3 speed points to apply one level of effort, unless it should come off might it which case he won't), and fire. He'll stay stationary if it gets him a shooting bonus, otherwise persue at normal speed.
